Intellectual and Cognitive Testing
Intellectual and cognitive testing evaluate how someone thinks, learns, reasons, remembers, and processes information, often using standardized IQ and neuropsychological measures. Common reasons for testing include suspected intellectual disability, developmental delays, learning problems, or concerns about memory, attention, and everyday functioning such as keeping track of tasks, understanding directions, managing school or work demands, or adapting to new situations.
Obvious signs people may notice include slower learning than peers, difficulty with language or problem‑solving, trouble remembering information, poor organization, frequent confusion in daily routines, or challenges understanding abstract concepts and consequences of actions. In adults, this can show up as difficulty with money, planning, job performance, or following multi‑step instructions.
I provide Intellectual and cognitive testingtesting, both in person and telehealth, for children and adults within the Fresno/Clovis area as well as for anyone in the state of California who is able to travel to my primary area. I provide same-week appointments and complete these evaluations within a few days if requested.
