Memory Testing

Memory testing involves standardized tasks that measure how well a person learns, stores, and recalls information, including immediate and delayed recall, recognition, and everyday memory skills. This type of assessment can help identify problems related to normal aging, neurodevelopmental conditions, head injury, or early neurodegenerative changes such as mild cognitive impairment or dementia.

Obvious symptoms people often notice include repeatedly asking the same questions, forgetting recent conversations or appointments, misplacing items frequently, trouble remembering names or directions, difficulty following instructions, relying heavily on notes or reminders, and a noticeable decline in school, work, or household functioning.

I provide memory testing, such as dementia, alzheimer’s, or deficits due to medical conditions, both in person and telehealth, for children and adults within the Fresno/Clovis area as well as for anyone in the state of California who is able to travel to my primary area. I provide same-week appointments and complete these evaluations within a few days if requested.
