Specific Learning Disorders
Specific Learning Disorders are conditions where a person has persistent difficulty learning and using academic skills, such as reading, writing, or math, even when they have normal intelligence and adequate instruction. Common signs include trouble decoding words, poor spelling, difficulty reading comprehension, slow writing, problems with math facts or word problems, poor organization, and trouble following directions or remembering information.
I provide screening for all types of specific learning disorders, such as in mathematics, reading, and writing, both in person and telehealth, for children and adults within the Fresno/Clovis area as well as for anyone in the state of California who is able to travel to my primary area. I provide same-week appointments and complete these evaluations within a few days if requested.
